Things I've seen on craigslist/Ebay

(120 day listing) Access Norton is not affiliated with the parts for sale in anyway. By buying anything you are working directly with the seller.

The seat isn't original either.
And neither are the levers.
Based on those 2 immediate things I noticed, I'm calling bullshit on the rest.
Not that it matters as I'm not buying.

Personally , I see no problem with getting good prices for excellent examples and wanting good homes for a life time of good bikes/memories

Agreed. But my personal experience when trying to buy bikes off of collectors like this has been frustrating. Lots of negotiations just to end up walking away with nothing. Heck, I'm still trying to buy a race bike from a collector down south....it's been 3 years.

The way it reads to me is that the bikes are going to be expensive and hes going assess if a potential buyer is worthy enough to buy from him? Based on what? Memories cant be bought, you make your own. Its different if the bikes have provenance etc but these dont look like anything famous or extremely rare.

I agree. When you sell something you generally give up control of what happens to that item. That is why the seller is given the money, of which he says he wants plenty!

I think he's gonna be keeping that one for a while.
I certainly don't think he really does know what he's got.
