Yep, this is an early Robinson brake which he produced before the 4LS. This one being a 2LS. I've only ever seen 1 other, so it's quite rare. Larger diameter than the 4LS, and about an inch larger than a stock Norton. Well made, and really lightweight. A cool period piece that would be great on any Norton etc.
It's nicely cast, with a shrunk in liner, and riveted. The brake is complete, but needs a standard rebuild.
Selling for what I feel is a reasonable price, and only selling because I need the money to buy something else for my project.

....... and from the looks of the rear mounted crankcase breather, it's a combat engine too...

oh really?? I thought that was a feature of combat engines...?? So I guess I should stick to my vast knowledge of '70 commandos.... :lol:

It's a fairly common assumption.

...and it was a bad idea that went away as quickly as it came on the scene.
