I was just listening to some good vinyl last night on my old turntable (Lxman PD-284, bought in 1980)
Nothing else in my hi-fi has lasted the distance - but I don't have a "tube" amplifier like yours.
Listening to Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Stevie Ray Vaughn etc gets me in the right place for working on the Nortons
Music & smell are the great evocators of better times.
Hope for more good times

I have killed a few amps over time playing my old vinyls, in my yonger days I use to buy a new record every week, sometime 2, a close female friend at the time worked at her family record shop, she listened to all the new albums all the time and put me onto some good music, CDs just not the same as playing vinyl records, my amps that I killed was normaly playing Led Zepplen flat out, my neighbours must have hated me in them days, I notice vinyl are making a big come back here in Aussie land, but they aren't cheap, but thats the way life has become, eveything going up except wages and even harder when retired.

Yep vinyl, at least when it started skipping and you were to pissed to get up you still had some music
I can only dream of what Mr Kossof would sound like through that holding one of his sadly troubled notes

I just re tubed and went through my old Sansui 1000A for my vinyl listening pleasure. Nothing beats good to sound for music or a guitar amp.
