does anyone know the difference between part number 47205 and part number 47205A

the '74 Commando takes Lucas Part number 47205A and my '68 Spitfire takes the 47205 are they swappable?

I need a new stator for my BSA and have a usable spare from the Norton rebuild

any help is greatly appreciated.
