One thing I have never found mentioned is how do you replace the bushes in the end caps? I have no idea how you get these out (especially the blind one in the brush end cap)?
Apparently it is possible to replace the drive end one with a needle roller/sealed ball bearing. Has anyone done this? Does it need machinework to get it achieved?
Is it OK to use the Accel standard field coils or should I use the Accel hi-torque ones?
I like the look of the Prestolite and fancy the challenge - if it doesn't work out I'll buy a Dave Comeau SM, but somehow it looks not quite right...
