Sprocket arrived today, very impressed with quality.
A quick read of Richards sprocket manual and 20 minutes later i was riding out the driveway.

Just a quick 5 minute squirt up the road, roundabouts and corners.
Definitely feels more alive accelerating out of corners,

Going to check GPS speedo for speed but doesn't feel to much different.
Going for a run in the weekend, should finish the dunlop off, time for a new rear tyre!!!

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Good to hear.
Have my one lined up.

Did you use original lock washer? Easy to not damage?

Looking forward to my wheelie monster. Yeah I know...

Yes used the same washer, it came off in good condition.
You only have to bend the 2 tabs that hold the nut.
The other 2 tabs slot straight into the locating holes on new sprocket,
If you note where the tabs are when you remove the old sprocket, and install the new sprocket in same position ,the nut will line up perfect with the tabs.

cheers

Hello all

Anybody has experience with the one tooth up which means 19T front sprocket?
I noticed that the 17T sprocket eats a bit of aluminium from a disk, which is not really a problem compared to the additional fun with a bit more torque... I am just wondering if with the 19T the chain clearance to silencer may be a problem.

Hello Raphi , No I have not. But I wonder if you can tell us more about where the aluminum disc is that is eating away ? Is it near the swing arm pivot ? Maybe post a photo ? Thanks.

Lets get back to rear sprockets for a moment please. Mines got some good wear on it. Its marked Talon TR351. 50 tooth 525 pitch. Any suggestions where I can get that state side or a high quality comparable sprocket that will fit? I've been on a website in England asking for bike or rim specific and neither Norton nor Morad comes up. Any suggestions or am I still slave to the factory? No offense, Norton.

Hi , Britfan , I may have ordered from the same place as you were lookin. HPS ? in England . They are a Talon dealer . I am still waiting for my sprocket from them. I am ordering a different size though. Not 50 T , instead 48 T. Based on my measurements it looks like it should fit. Problem is though the 50 T size has to be special ordered. Anything above 47T in fact . 76 mm center hole , 100 mm bolt circle and 5 Holes - 10.5 mm dia.. Have you priced them from Norton yet ? The price may not be too bad . While you are at it get a price on an 18 T front while you're asking and let us know. Even with shipping the England Talon was cheaper then a source I found here (Sprocket Center) and you will have the same issue with size not stocked. They don't even list a sprocket over 47T , at least the England Source lists it and will order. Thanks.
