SoCal Nortons - Sunday event

Postby xbacksideslider » Thu Nov 03, 2011 2:09 pm

For any one that can make it - Southern California Norton Owners Club's "Best Ride by a Dam Site" is this next Sunday morning. It is an "all Brits" event but all makes are welcome, AFAIK. A friend will be riding my Commando so I'll be on the CBR.

I'll post some pics next week.

Hi John, I was thinking of posting something about this so I'm glad you did. Hope it's not raining. Forecast calls 70% chance & that means I'm not riding if it does, the Avons do NOT feel good in the wet.

Well, I was planning to attend. It would have been my first time. But, it's 45 F and raining cats % dogs ... so, maybe next year.
I logged on to see if anyone had posted about the weather at Hansen. How badly rained-out is/was it?

I stayed in bed too, despite the fact that the SoCalNOC's policy is "it's a go, rain or shine." It did clear up and I'm sure that those who did go on the ride only had to negotiate slippery spots and a chill factor. I went to a memorial for passed friend so I could not get over to Hansen Dam to recognize the brave ones. Next time we'll have to meet up.
