I have a '71 Roadster and i dont have the original sidestand. I still have the pin that the clip and the original sidestand was supposed to attach to. I just got a 72' sidestand (see below) and was wondering if i can make it work w/the stock setup that i have.

My question is would this stand work w/the pin and clip or do i need to get extra parts to make it work? When i looked at Oldbritts site, they have a sidestand spacer that goes through the sidestand hole. Do i need this? I now old britts sells an updated bracket but dont really want to that right now.
