side oil tank dipstick vs central

Postby fastback » Sat Aug 16, 2008 10:29 am

Just came back from a nice (too short) ride on a beautiful day. :D

I was wondering if the oil dipstick is different on a the central reservoir vs the side (fastback) tank. I would think the markings would be different, no?

I am using the cap that came with the central tank.
While it is easy to put in the right amount at an oil change, I am never quite sure how much or if I need to top it up.
Is the sight tube accurate, if so what level would I use?

Any one have an example of both out there, or a measurement that I can use?

Thanks,
Phil
