Ride till ya die

Postby hobot » Mon Nov 04, 2013 8:22 pm

I'm most afraid to pass this along.

As if my kid getting killed on the M & S ride in NY, on Saturday wasn't bad enough, I just found out that long distance
rider John Ryan was killed this weekend after getting hit by a car in NJ. He was the subject of Melissa Peirson's
(The Perfect Vehicle) last book about long distance riding. Not only was John a fantastic guy and rider, he was
a full diabetic and carried the kit with him at all times, making his achievements all that more incredible.

Listen, all, be VERY careful out there.

So sorry Steve, my condolances to you. :( Think I'll even ride today, after reading this. (even though only 46 degrees.) But ... will be EXTRA careful.

Joe Piska emailed me yesterday his father passed away too, who did not ride motorcycles, so no survivors no mater ones life style and care, just fate hunting us all, so nothing really matters for long. We expect our parents to leave before us not our children and heart break is a deadly as motorcycling. I spit in deaths face each ride so wish you well on what to dwell on.
