When your bored and want to see how long people have been arguing about belt drives, weight , high power and all that good stuff check this out. Download it as a PDF and you will get all 800 pages or so. Jim

Aw ok I'll tell ya the ending to save time, the best combo yet, is Watt's linked
non rebounding flexy light steel tube frame with dual rubber tube mounted power plant in pulse traction dampening vibration absorbing chassis wind - road conforming energy storing apex sling-shoting isolastic Commando with properly built as designed Roadholders plus unrestricted Lockheed single front brake, lightened up where ever and turned loose to flat disappear from pilot sensation with electric rheostat response 2 valve torque monster that gives 5 FIVE Faster energy phases of changing directions w/o letting off and only hesitatingly fleet instants of loss of accelerating butt squashing traction so hardest pilot effort is breath control not the R wrist twitching. Too small of ports for the carb in the story line too. Last chapter a cliff hanger ain't written yet, stayed tuned.

Assuming that's all true Hob, and I have no doubt...... Have you ever considered writing Fictitious stories for a living.?

For easychair musing, I sure wish I could find one of Harry Ricardo's books.
The Internal Combustion Engine (1923)
The High Speed Combustion Engine (1931)

You could stop posting for a day. Plenty of time then.
You probably want to go into town, and find a up to date Jap Bike store,
With a full spares department, a clean workshop, and kean young mechanics.
And ask them if theres a Grumpy Old Bloke out in the Hills, who knows how to fix Real Motorcycles.

Have you checked Google books. They are getting a pretty good range. Jim

I didn't fall off Norton's yesterday so browsed a book or two recovering and may be the only one here to take Ricardo's insights to heart of combustion chamber. Steampunk is Peel's middle name... running beyond 17:1 detonation zone is the name of her game...
