Procedure to remove factory grips???

Postby LEXngton » Sun Aug 27, 2017 2:07 pm

Bought some Progrips to replace the factory grips on my 2016 MKII but how do you take the old factory grips off? What's the procedure?

My racing buddy taught me this trick. Get one of these hooked up to even a small compressor, insert the tip just a little between the grips i.d. and the handlebar, give it a couple quick shots of air, and you can move the grip on or off just as easy as you please.

I have a 2016 Commando sf, I replaced my grips a few months ago. I just rolled them off and used clear silicone to put them back on. Easy.
