Primerose & burlewood... did I overdo it???

Postby prmurat » Tue Aug 30, 2011 12:14 pm

...for a 400ES??
I know that "wood does not belong on a bike", yada yada, but I like the idea!!!

oil tank and side cover are painted same color... now it will be time to really get working on the bike! I must dumb...I always like to have first the body painted and then do the rest of the bike: it, kind of, give me a goal to finish it; I have a few un-finished project (Yankee 500 and now XS650) where I started working on the engine or the electricity and nothing is happening... Do I need to see a doctor?

Sounds like you need to see a mechanic !!, and farm out a few bits.

As more than a few have said -" I was only the project manager " - paint went to a paint specialist, speedo went to a speedo specialist, wheels to a wheel specialist, seat to a seat specialist, carburettors to a carbie specialst, yada yada yada....

Imagine what modern bikes are going to be like, plastics etc, and with all those electronic bits...?

I like it. It's a cool color that fits the time period.

As far as a doctor, you don't need one. You will finish the more important bike; the Norton. Youve just set your priorities. :D

You know, you made me rethink me paint scheme on mine. It looks great.
Traction is kind of like bowel control. Once you think you are going to lose it, it's probably too late!
