Powerbox again

Hi all, i have wired up powerbox to my mates mk3, and not wanting to set fire to his bike, was wondering if any of you electrical wizards out there could check out what i have done and confirm if its ok ,here goes -bike is positive earth i have put red wire from box to red battery ,red/white wire to frame, the 2 yellow wires from box to the AL and AL wires that came off the warning light unit ,the black wire from the box to the wire that came from IGN on the warning light unit ,and the white wire from box to the wire that came from the WL on the warning light unit , joined up the brown/blue wires from the 2MC, removed zenors ,and rectifier and taped up all remaining wires. powerbox has the charging light control PBOX00166, would be very gratefull if someone could check this for me Happy New Year to you all Brian

Technically, you have connected the black wire on the wrong side of the ignition switch, although it will probably work, it's not ideal.

If you re-check your Power Box PBOX00166 (+ve earth) wiring diagram, you should see that the black box wire connects between the fuse (battery negative) and the ignition switch (disregard the ammeter for MkIII) so the black wire should be connected to the brown/blue wire, and not the white assimilator 'IGN' wire.

(I am assuming you have completely disconnected the old warning light assimilator unit?)

Hi, L.A.B. thanks a lot for checking that for me, i have changed the black box wire to the brown/ blue and connected it on the ignition side of the fuse as per diagram , and yes the warning light unit has been removed , i cant check things out at the moment as the carbs are in bits , but im sure everything will be fine so thanks again Brian

Hi try this it may help, it is the Powerbox wiring for the one with a warning light.
