I bought a used 1975 850 Interstate in 1977 and rode it all over in Connecticut, then took it with me when I moved to Oregon, and again with the move to Florida. I sold it in 1992 to purchase a new HD Sportster, biggest regret I have. I was having problems locating parts or someone to work on it here in SE Florida so I sold it. I figured the Sporty would be reliable and similar ride to the Norton. Boy was I wrong. Prolly one of the most uncomfortable rides I have ever owned. The Interstate on the other hand was a joy. With the long seat and big tank. Looking to get another Norton soon. Slim pickins around here so far!
