Commando Brake Shoes Fit A Model 7 ?

Postby Damo850 » Wed Jul 15, 2009 4:29 am

Yo Lads

question from my yahoo Model 7 group..... anyone know/help ?

Anyone know if Commando rear brakes shoes can be used in a Model 7 ?
They look similar enough that this might just work....
Anyone tried this ?
Does the brake compound work OK ?

thanks

It probably would not be something a lot of folks have tried as there aren't a lot of model 7s around. In my experience brake shoes can often be swapped from application to application.
For example Austin Healys could be fitted with shoes from several British makes. there was a period of time when we couldn't get parts so we had to learn this. Try it and see, otherwise just get somebody to reline the model 7 shoes.
