Reminds me of an abused dog in an animal shelter. It definitely needs a new owner. With some TLC it can probably become a decent bike again, but will it ever forget the abuse by it's previous owner?
A man's worth is not measured by what he has achieved...It is measured by what he went through to achieve it.

If you smile every time you flip on the garage light, you own the right motorcycle.

Stop torturing yourself, it looks like a good buy, you know you will regret it for the rest of your life if you let it go

Time for another Cranky Old Britt, Mike?

Shouldn't be too hard to put it back to stock - proper fork stanchions, bars, and seat. A stock seat might be a little hard to come by, but you could probably have something fabbed up for it. A little fettling, and there you go! :D

No need to repaint or rechrome - just keep that nice old original patina intact. 8)

Buy it, lose the front brake, paint the tank with US flag colors, sell some coke, put the cash in the gas tank, and go to find America....

Cue Curtis Mayfield's "Pusherman" and then Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild...."

It's either N15 or a P11 .
Can't be both . ( in this case , N15 )
Absolutely worth saving , but it needs slightly more than just a seat and a fork .
Remember the rules ..

Yes, it does look like a great buy - at its current price anyway. The paintwork looks to be original and I would not change it. A new seat, fork tubes, handlebars and front fender should get it close to being and very nice looking bike.

It looks more Orange than Red, I guess that's sun-faded paint.

Otherwise, it's not raked or chopped, just accessorized.

Not bad if the price doesn't bump more than a grand...

...which it will...

Yup,

If it was a CSR I'd be in the running. I'd do a symapathetic restore on that bike myself. Just proper parts and keep the paint.
I've never ridden the ones with the off road fork internals so i'm not sure if that would need to be looked at. My bike had pretty standard Norton forks.

Are you kidding. Back in the day I'm sure that was much more desirable. Sure now we can laugh but tastes change.
You probably want to go into town, and find a up to date Jap Bike store,
With a full spares department, a clean workshop, and kean young mechanics.
And ask them if theres a Grumpy Old Bloke out in the Hills, who knows how to fix Real Motorcycles.
