Found this on the INOA yahoo user group. It's interesting. Looks like a 2 stroke twin.

500cc stepped piston two stroke with 4 stroke type bottom end lubrication from about 1976. Bernard Hooper were still developing this technology last time I searched.

Its a bit like a funny DKW two piston single.
Lower piston (super?) charged uppers .

apparently didnt have usual thirst of 2-strokes.
The one rule to the exception , is theres the exeption to each rule .
