Norton 400 ES Electra

Postby prmurat » Thu Jun 16, 2011 9:38 pm

Finally getting to work on my Electra... Where could I find 2 nice 6V batteries (gel would be great) to get into the 2 batteries spaces?
Anyone knows the details of an Amal Concentric to replace the Monoblov in there?
Any tip for electric starter?
Thanks
Philippe

Hi Phillipe,

Have a look here, http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/goffybatteries.htm
I don't know if he can ship to the US, but it might give you an idea of what's out there.
The other one is here http://www.ballisticracingparts.com/pro ... eries.html Nice but expensive.
Finally, the cheap option is a house alarm battery, cheap as chips but yet small and leakproof.

I hope this helps

Hi Phillipe,

The Electra 400 original had a Monobloc 375/054 at 7/8" (22.5mm) with a 25 Pilot, Slide 3, Main Jet 190 and 0.11 Needle Jet.

The equivalent in a Concentric is a 624 / 300. You can specify the same Pilot, Slide and Main and Needle Jets if you order from Burlen Fuel Systems / Amal.
