I just ordered one of these, I know there are homemade versions, but shipped for $42 I couldn't pass it up.

Looks very useful, and probably cheaper than making one.

Looks like a handy auto dash dismantling tool to get out radio's and stuff in a hurry. Some folks use[d] a slider hammer puller with a lag bolt on the end to suck out the late '70's to mid '90's steering column key tumbler. Mostly though I can't hardly think of a task for it on a motorcycle that a screw in puller of plain old drift won't work better. Please let us know when-if it ever does come in handy. You ain't got a mid night parts supply moon lighting to feed your Norton habit do you? Full moons not best time to harvest of course.

Since opening my business, I can think of at least a dozen times i've clamped on a vice grip and tried to pound outward with a hammer. Every time I have thought about turning it into a slide hammer, but the thought passes and I do nothing about it. I saw this on a car show yesterday and went for it. I like that it has a case and the slide hammer attachment pivots.

Ok smarty pants name one task this silly steam punk vise grip could do better than a soft nose .45 or black powder bore bottom reamer snagger. Reminds me of the Elephant trunk key I have.

Ha :!: I knew you would come trough

ATTENTION Rube Goldberg ALERT :!:

Maybe you could cable a vice grip to a pistol and grip the offending part to be pulled out, the recoil would pull the thing out and the bullet would "clean" the hole nicely and the GSR add a touch of exotic finish.

OK Hobot,
Where is the video?
The "trailer and rifle" video would have been unbelievable from anybody else.

OH sure, the recoil of proper caliber would do it but ya gotta weigh the extra hole in the part or in the operator by the ricochet plus the cost of the ammo. Still trying to conceive a use for this clever vise grip and jerk puller, teeth maybe.

A clever tool i just had to have and have yet to find a real need or use for it...
3/8" drive T handle crank 90' angle drive ratchet. Could pay back swinging it in a tree to shoot at.

It arrived yesterday, and I have to say it is very nice. Heavy duty vice grips, rubber coated slider weight and hand grips. Grade 8 bolt on the pivot. I like it. Definatly worth the money.
