Never had one, but they just need to be sorted, then maintained. Benellis have good handling and strong engines for the most part.

What's NOT to like about that bike :?: Everything is cool, the brakes, the seat, the rearsets...

Good find

Yeah my thoughts exactly :D , all the mods Id do are done and the rearsets actually connect to linkages underneath to change the controls to Jap spec
It was a historic racer but not really competitive due to its weight but the engine has been tickled for racing and it comes with all standard parts so I can get it on the road.

Ill post more pics when I get it in the shed

Grouse bike, better in most respects than the Yam 650 and Triumph 650. Pity they didn't continue with it. I've got an Italian book published (in English) on all of the motorcycles released between '69 and '71 which chiefly covers Italian, British, European, American and Japanese brands. Its an ideal source for genuine factory fit and finish. I'll see if I can scan the Tornado section and post it.

I remembered reading an article on the bike in a magazine published here in the US called 'Motorcycle Classics'

Here it is:

I've always liked the Sei, and their current crop of triples are some of the sexiest-looking bikes out there.

Too bad they've never sold well here.

Fine machines!, a buddy had an SEI and it took "coffee breaks" (it would just stop running for a few minutes, we figured out there was nothing "wrong" with it) so when the Benelli shut down we just smoked and yakked for a bit and then continued on our ride.

Gotta love the 750/6 SEI, I'd like to have one. As many times as i had my 550 Honda apart, I think I could handle THAT one.

Quite cool.

I would have gotten at least one ticket on it by now...

That famous saying "the older I get, the faster I was" is starting to make sense, but I know I can still pull a ticket too easily on most of my old bikes, and I'm not talking about expired safety inspection or non-working tail light.
