too much money for me

But, it gave me the idea of spray painting my helmet flat black and then putting a gold Norton decal on it!

Looks very nice and I certainly wouldn't mind having one.

But it's quite expensive and I would only be able to wear whilst riding my Nortons.

Even worse, there is an equally attractive Ducati logo helmet, priced the same. I own two Ducatis so I would have to buy one of those too.

That's about $2000 USD and I just can't justify it. I could buy another pretty nice vintage Suzuki for that kind of money!

Correction: the price on the Ducati helmet was in USD not GBP. So that would lower the cost somewhat. Still over my budget though.

You probably want to go into town, and find a up to date Jap Bike store,
With a full spares department, a clean workshop, and kean young mechanics.
And ask them if theres a Grumpy Old Bloke out in the Hills, who knows how to fix Real Motorcycles.

Richard,

Nothing personal, but as moderator, I decided this topic didn't contain any actual Norton Commando content, (as it is really a thread about an Arai helmet).

The Norton Commando section is primarily intended for 'Norton Commando related topics' (however I will occasionally leave the odd off-topic thread in the "wrong" section if I see a good enough reason to do so).

If members access the forum using the http://www.accessnorton.com/ address, then they will arrive at the main forum index page, so no-one should miss any new topics, - whichever one of the five sections they are posted in?

I've just read it! I would think that these other boards are fairly well read? So keep us informed please Richard.

That's a nice-looking helmet, but a bit pricey.

I have an Arai Phil Read replica, which was less than half the price, and has a similar design, except for the 'Norton' logos and Union Jacks on the sides

I normally wear my Marushin 'Shivan' helmet when on the Norton, though. The red and black graphics with gold pinstriping match the color scheme of my bike

Those are really nice and wonderful helmets. I wouldn't mind buying it in such a hefty price because I think it's worth it!
