Mk3 Electric Starter parts.

Postby Mr.Sparks » Sun Apr 02, 2017 3:51 pm

I'm looking for an electric start kickback protection device. Also looking to buy other MK3 primary/electric starter parts.
Mk3 x 3 and a Wideline Frame now. Electric starts are only a fad, tell my right knee that!

I have one or two of the drivetrain gears and a spare primary sprocket, but I think the sprocket was replaced by a previous owner for good reason (although it doesn't have any apparent wear)

I also have a primary case, but it's had the e-start lump chopped off, and it has a footpeg divot...

Old Britts sells everything you need.

The starter motor and all drive parts must have already been lifted from the eBay Mk3, nothing from the starter drive train is listed. They do have the crossover shaft and gear for the shifter incorrectly listed as starter gears, so watch out for that. The same seller recently had a set of Mk3 timing gears listed as "starter gears" so lots of incorrect listings to watch for.
I would not waste any money on used sprag, hub or sprocket. The rest of the drive train could be OK to pick up used.
