I wanted the ease of a single carb set up but also retain the standard look of the air filter assembly so I bought a single carb manifold, single hole air filter plate and carby parts off RGM.

Everything bolts up nicely except that the rear of the carby is too close to the front air filter plate and I just can't sqeeze the rubber gromet in that joins the carby to the air filter.

Has any one carried out this conversion and had this problem.
