How does the Andover MC compare to a resleeved MC performance wise? I am also looking to upgrade brake performance and want to keep the original switchgear. I can live with a non stock MC. The price difference appears to be about $160 cdn in favour of a resleeve, if you add a SS hose to the resleeve kit to compare apples to apples. I also plan to add Ferado pads. From what I can gather the negative points for the resleeve is that some have experienced the locking on of the front brake in hot weather. Any other pros and cons?

I have the Andover Norton master cylinder. It is excellent, even when riding 2 up. A real noticable difference.

Master Cylinder Ugrade Bike # 2, as I had carried my MC all the way to Singapore in case I had an hour or two spare at work to do the upgrade, got to it yesterday .
Was drilling away happily and thought the drill felt a little 'griity' and noisey in the hole. All looked good, although the hole didn't look quite perfect at the bottom, I had made a jig and was in a drill press, so thought all was cool, tapped the top of the hole, but after inserting the RGM sleeve couldn't get it to pump up/prime to pressure, so took the sleeve out again, and after close inspection , decided to drill the hole out another 1 to 2mm with a flatter tipped drill bit before sealing in the sleeve.
Check ot what came out iof the hole!!!!
Any comments on this baby?
Regards Mike

It looks as if someone has repaired the cylinder with a standard bore size (5/8") sleeve?

Thanks LAB, yes now know that is the case, shame they went to all the trouble for the sake of an upgrade kit. I just hope the rest of the bike isn't the same way when I get to the internals!!!
