Looking for commando pics for paintwork

Postby Cheesehead Commando » Mon May 04, 2009 8:35 pm

Hi, everyone. I am having my sidecovers and tanks painted by my local painter. I have both the Roadster and Interstate sheetmetal, which will allow me to change depending on my mood...! Anyway, neither tank or any of the side panels have the stock paint on them. I want to keep the bike looking stock, but don't really have anything that I can show my painter that he can use as a guide. I am hoping someone has photos of both of these tanks, side and top, and also of the side panels for each model. I don't want anyone to go through a lot of work, but if you do have them, it would be a big help. Thanks so much...!

Maybe something more helpful for the painter for a 1974 untouched Roadster up close.

Here is a picture of my gas tank. The front mudguard and the headlight shell are also the same color. My painter did a fantastic job, very happy how it turne out.
