Holiday ideas ?.

Postby Josh Cox » Fri Jun 17, 2011 4:16 am

Trying to think of an awesome way to spend my 40'th birthday, was considering flying to the US, and buying a motorbike, lets not say what make, then going for a trip, would Route 66 be a good choice ?.

Pack the bike in a box and send it home.

Thoughts ?.

( remove the badges on the tank, fit polished stainless after market exhaust, I think it would make a nice addition to the family )

My wife is an employee of the motor company. This said I do not particularly like their products. I was informed by my wife once my children are in school and I am back working full time for a year I may purchase my first ever Brand new motorcycle. She gets a 20% discount. I was looking forward to a nice BUell 11125CR. So much for that. The XR1200 was my second choice. My third choice was a Nightrod. after that there is nothing I like. They all seem made for old beer swilling people going with the heard. All the hype of being different and unique, but they all look the same. No offfence if anyone reading this fits this description. Having a Norton I believe removes you from the heard.

Wolff , Can you get a XR 750 engine ? still available . Suit a Norton Owner . Lance Wiell raced one in england , actually a 883 mod. was doing replicers .
But deceased. Stuff on computor on them though . you could fabricate the necessarys , Wolff welding . XR1000 ran those heads , probly didnt get enough
oil on streety as rpms too low ? , tended to drop valves . But would make a nicer bike than the current barges . :P

Josh, I sent you a pm. Look at Geezers Web site, they are the ones that can bring in late model harleys. Graeme
