Load of engineering BS by people who don't know sh*t No longer legal to build rigids or remove suspension from road going vehicles here in Quebec. OK, slammed rigid with no ground clearance running low profile tires is dangerous but decent ground clearance combined with lowish air pressure and tall sidewalls are definitely capable of traveling the roads safely at posted limits.

Its scary when someone who is either ignorant or has an unfounded bias can wield such power. I wonder whether he has ever ridden a motorcycle let alone a rigid framed one?
As someone who has worked as a Professional Engineer for nearly 30 years i am looking forward to many happy miles on my rigid 16H, and hoping such bureaucratic idiocy does not spread downunder.

Take a look at any local, state or federal government and you see ignorance and power running rampant 100% of the time, especially in the US.

I wasn't sure about the ignorant regulation till I reviewed a bunch of old and new racing antics of hard tails like the Indians and choppers and reviewing my own rear suspension experiences to realize a bump that upsets a hard tail will do pretty much same thing to fancy modern suspensions too. Personally I thing the world has been taken over by nasty bankster families that want everyone stuck in cities with nothing but wind up cars and bikes to use, so out to remove anything that barks of freedom or cuts into insurance investors profits.

My '51 Matchy is a rigid frame bike and it feels plenty compliant on any road surface. The frame members are pretty spindly so I'm sure there is plenty of flex going on. The seat springs give a very comfortable ride.

This is crazy stuff from someone who doesn't know anything about bikes.
