R/hand Bar Cut Off Switch MK3

Hi Guys,
Happy New Year to you all.
I got a Brembo master cylinder for the front and will need to change the switch block, I have been looking about and there are a good number of switch blocks that look as if they will work, however most of them have a starter button and just a 2 position, run/off, button, whereas the original has the 3 position, off/run/off, I take it it would be ok to wire in the 2 position switch as it is basically an on/off switch, or have I read it wrong? Any comments appreciated.
I'm not too bothered about the lights side of it as I have my eye on a Ducati L/side switch cluster which has all the functions.
