G15 Steering head bearings

Postby APRRSV » Thu Aug 03, 2017 6:50 am

Hi,
Is there an upgrade for the two piece race and loose balls as standard on the G15? Sealed ball or tapered?

Thanks,
Ed

Not that i know of. Its a PITA, but not too bad if you use a decent wheel bearing grease to hold the bearings in place while you assemble the steering head.

Better than a P11, where you have 56 3/16 bearings to assemble rather than the 36 1/4 bearings of the G15/N15

Thanks Biilt. I'll live with the stock set up.

I put tapered bearings in my N15 ages ago .

Thank you Ludwig. This is info I've been looking for. Do you remember whether they were simple drop in bearings or did they require any machining to the head stock? And, if your memory is super human, a part #?

Thank you,
Ed
