Fairing - stop don't shoot!

Postby GKRyder » Thu Mar 16, 2017 4:39 pm

I know , I know.
Best looking roadster out there.

But I like to play and I like JPS things despite not being a smoker.

So have been entertaining a 1/4 fairing idea.
1/4 as in maybe just fork mounted. No clips ons do maybe go clubman style bars.

I have a Hyde Harrier fairing that has previously been chopped. Twin small headlights.

Or

Then there is the 'so small justfor looks' type thing http://i.ebayimg.com/images/i/331908271 ... -l1000.jpg

Or

I even found a damaged Thruxton 1200 one that looks narrow enough it might work.

The old Ducati 900ss less so as they really need to be 'out there' (very forward) to really work looks wise.

Paradise Moto used the 'endurance' fairing from Guzzi V7 (Agostini) catalogue:

Or I'll just leave it....happens a lot. :)

Thoughts?

I think the ebay Bikini faring is quite nice.
Very minimalist and just right proportionally for the 961.
Easy to mount on the forks, and painted silver it would be beautiful.
Would also divert some air flow over the top and to the sides to reduce fatigue.

I would love to get something like the tiny '78 MotoGuzzi Lemans bikini faring mounted to the front of my 961.

There was a photo of a new Norton dressed in a dual headlight JPN replica fairing; I thought it looked excellent.

can't find it on google...

Would be nice to see Norton UK dress up a V4 RR like this for publicity at IoM 2017.

I wonder why the graphics were removed from the rear cowl in the first photo. To match the faring? They should have added graphics to the faring.
