Can anybody help, I am interested in trying to track down a Norton motorcycle that I once owned, I should like to know if it is still on the road or has been scraped.
Details, Norton Dominator 88 (f bed frame) Reg, SAH 315, I owned it from 1955 to 1960. sold in Norfolk.
Any help anybody can offer would be much appreciated thanks

Norton SAH 315 doesn't appear on the DVLA database, therefore it's unlikely that the bike still exists.

I did check if registration number might have been sold/transferred to another vehicle using the mycarcheck.com search (as that doesn't require the vehicle's make details to be entered) and nothing showed up there either.

If the bike went to another country then it would not be using the British registration anymore. In the United States for instance you would have to have the numbers stamped on the engine or frame, as that is what the Department of Transportation uses in it's records on the bike. The license number can change often here during the life of a motor vehicle and it doesn't mean much at all.

Get me a frame or engine number and I will keep an eye out for it....

It would be nice if everyone could find their old bike from back in the day. I have a 1962 Dominator 88ss with it's pressed aluminum plates 579 NMC, if anyone knows who had it when it was new that would be great too. An american serviceman brought it to the states in the early-mid sixties and that is all I know about it's connection to it's home country.....

I also have been trying to trace an1965 Atlas, Reg. no. DKE 84C, which was last sold to someone in Kent.
It never shows up on the dvla data base as taxed.
