I have just completed the resto of my 1968 Commando. It's beautiful! I will post a shot soon.

I need help, however, learning where to attach the spring to the frame and mainstand.

Is the small hole in the center of the bottom cross piece of the stand the connection for the large loop in the spring?

Where does one attach the small end of the spring? There is a 1/4" hole on each side of the mainstand bracket. Is either of those holes the attachment point?
