BSA Transmission Capacity

I have a 1969 Lightening BSA. My Transmission dipstick is missing. Need to know how much oil capacity? So that I can drain it and refill it with the correct amount.

Manuals say: "7/8-pint" (Imperial pint) or: "490cc". (7/8 Imp./pt. is actually 497cc)
