BSA info / forum?

Hi kids. Somehow I think I'm going to just come back here due to the wealth of knowage and the fact that this really is the only forum that is easy to navigate thanks to Jerry & LAB, but does anyone know of a forum that is geared towards BSA's? I have Googled & looked through a few but I must be a complete fool because I can't navigate through them. What gives.

I'm with you on that! I have been looking for an old school Triumph Forum and found nothing close to this one. Jerry has done a great job to make it as useful and user friendly as it is.

What about 'Britbike.com, they have dedicated pages for Triumph, Norton and BSA. It is not as user friendly as this site but there is a decent amount of information there and people will answer questions.

Hudson29 we must be long lost cousins as we seem to have the same taste in bikes, among mine are a 1965 Bonneville and a Matchless G80 rolling chassis - I'm making a G80 replica special. We even have the same paint job on our Commandos judging by your avatar photo.

Try http://piled-arms. com. This is a great resource I have been using since acquiring my 441 Victor restoration project. In my opinion however you will not find a website of the quality that exists at this Norton site. Good luck. Gary

I also recommend BritBike.Com for BSA related discussion & resources; definitly a top-tier forum.

Thanks for the steer on Britbike.com, I'm just going through the Matchless threads now. I'm very interested in hearing about your G80 replica special. Can you tell us about this project? What is your inspiration? My own project is entirely in my head at this point but it has been there 40 years. I'll write up a separate post about my Matchless Dreams maybe next week, it is lots of fun to dream about and plan to put in action some bright sunny day. This past week I just missed an opportunity to really put things on track but the near miss just whetted my appetite for pushing forward.

This project stretched out about 8 years and I rode the bike for a few months and then parked it with rear brake/hub issues. It has been sitting waiting for a bit of work ever since. Please tell us a bit about your own Commando. I have never seen another retro custom!

Britbike is about the best. Piled arms isn't bad. Been slowly working on an old BSA myself. The Norton community seems to be much more active on line.

That's because you can never talk enough handlebars, fiberglass tanks, front brakes or electronic ignitions!
