Thought I would stir this post up again, I completed the wiring on my project, just ordered a single coil. Hope to start it this summer.

Does anyone have the proper procedure to set the points/timing on a commando with a sparx battery eliminator, and accel single coil? I am wiring a small 12 volt battery into the circuit just in case. I'll probably hide it under the seat. Any tips would be helpful.
