Ok, I took the rear axle out, and loosened the chain tensioners. The rear wheel came loose, but it does not want to come off. What in the heck am I forgetting? No chain on the bike, brakes are released as well. It sits there and wobbles and wants to come off, but something is preventing it. Any ideas? What stupid thig am I forgetting?

LOL That was my first inclination but I didn't want to swing for the fences unless I knew for sure that was it. lol Just whack it a few good times then?

I'm not intimately familiar with the Atlas rear brake appurtenances, but the Commando has a brake backing plate torque lug that slots into the frame; perhaps the Atlas' setup is dodgy and it's hanging on the lug?

The Atlas wheel should pull straight back if it has a stock swing arm. Did you remove the wheel from the brake with the three bolts (may be hidden behind rubber plugs)?

Did you have the special lock to remove the anti-theft lug nut

Doesn't the whole wheel assembly come off if you loosen off both sides of the axle, remove the brake actuator rod tensioner nut & spacer, and disconnect the speedo cable?

I did that and it does not seem to want to come off. I got the wheel loose and away from the sprocket, but it does not want to release the entire way. I cant seem to figure out what is holding it on. I figured I would ask before I beat it to death and broke something expensive.
