What is it with Harley and HOG members

Not to good its a 1961 model with a long tank and steel wheels, the compressor that is, I am going to set up some old handle bars and put a solo seat on top of the motor and some foot pegs then I will put a Harley logo on it just to stir him up more and my other Harley mates, I was going to scrap it but think this will be more fun, dammm I am a shit stirrer, I have to much time on my hands

Ha, Ha, I like it, just put the compressor in a frame with a motorcycle wheel at each end, with a saddle from a HOG and h/d transfer on the tank it would fool a lot of people especially when running :D

Well it finaly happened one of my best mate's Steve who I have known since we were 15 years old and now owning his Harley for over 5 years now came out with a jaw dropper, phoned him up last night to arrange a ride out to visit another old mate out in the country on Sunday, he said sorry going out with my Harley mates, I then said have you forgotten about your other riding mates now that you have owned your Harley for a few years now, have you forgotten all the good times we all have had on other bikes other than Harlies, as I found out later they didn't leave till after 9 am and they only went out to Daybour which realy isn't that far and stopped at the pub and watch all the bikes ride past that head up the range, so realy 1/2 hr ride each way and stopped for about 3 hrs, what a joke really.
I find this really sad we are all good friends but when they think a ride of 1/2hr before stopping for most of the day before riding home, when they could be riding all day with a brecky break, lunch and a few short stops inbetween and ride some of the best roads around, can't work them out paying all that money and not really ride them makes no sence to me, then when I just brought a new 1200 Thruxton he asked why I didn't buy a Harley, so I said I like to ride.

An XR750TT Harley road racer was actually a half-decent bike. I wouldn't waste my time with the rest. It takes a very strange mentality to live with a bike which doesn't go, stop or handle. In Victoria a lot of older guys buy Harleys as part of their mid-life crisis and ride on the Great Ocean Road. Quite a few have had serious crashes. I think they get their ideas from watching movies.
