Anybody have any experience with a gentleman named Joel Levine outside of Atlanta for Smith's speedo and tach repairs?

I had over 10 years of excellent service (40+ meters rebuilt), but recently heard several negative reports...

Try Mark Bohman in Ohio (513) 367-6402....Honest guy and excellent work...

Thanks.
Lots of opinions on a number of different opportunities- thanks. I'm going to send my speedo to Joel, and will report back on the results.
I think sometimes that with 40+ year old equipment, you have to take your chances. My basic motivation is that I have had too many speeding tickets so i need to get this fixed to avoid accidentally getting another one. Silly as this may sound, but 60+ in a 45 mph zone is about $200 for the first hit and about $400 for the second hit, so $250 to fix the speedo isn't bad. If that doesn't work, the digital is next.

Funny you have those doubts with your speedo..

I have been shaking out bugs from my 72 and today was looking at the speedo and the trees going by. I thought, "no way" am i doing 70mph is all too slow.. I feel my speedo is the opposite to yours.. I think my 70 mph speedo reading is more likely 70kph ( ~37mph). Not sure but it seem way out to me, so will need to do a speed check with fellow rider..
