side panel/battery box ?

morning ! would some kind person have photos of the side panel set up please ? i just have a bare frame and no idea how the panel is fitted , i have a list of parts to locate , but would like some photo evidence of how things should go together . as i said i have nothing at all so need to source the panel , screws . fittings ? grommets etc

Do you have a P11 or a P11A or Ranger 750? There are differences in how the P11 sidecover mounts compared to the P11A frame. Also the P11 side cover will not have the relief for the keyswitch found on P11A.

mines a p11a exported to the us in march 1968 can you help ??

Top and rear tabs for mounting the sidecover. The pin in the top tab I made slightly longer with a hole crossdrilled for a retaining clip. The lower tab, just above the tab for the muffler strap, has the nut brazed to the wrong side, but I'll address that when I strip the frame.


Sidecover hanging on tab. I don't have the special knurled screw installed.


Front of sidecover mounted on coil strap stud. The hex nut is incorrect as there is a special knurled nut used to retain the cover.

I apologize for the picture quality. This is my Ranger that is in storage until I complete the early P11 Hi-Piper and a couple other projects. The lighting was not very good in there.
