Perfect day for a scooter ride. Cool and cloudy. Took Miss Norton out for some exercise - a 75 mile jaunt to Brattleboro and back. No issues to report aside from the right side mirror coming loose. She vibrates a bit.

I've never ridden a better bike for cornering. I can forgive the vibration, the clunky sound the transmission makes and the occasional backfire when she's not quite warmed up. With the superior suspension and frame geometry she is light and very nimble. I don't believe I could be happier.

Nice ride. Are those Rizoma mirrors. Just took my first baby steps on the rebuilt leg. Hoping I can ride in a month or so. :|

Yes, Rizomas. The vibration loosens up the screws something wicked. Had to pull over last night and put the right side mirror in my pocket before I lost it! I'm using Loctite now.

Here's hoping your recovery goes well, man.

Hello all
I wanted to share following pictures of my "new" bike. "New" because it looks kind of an MkII with the completely new front (Öhlins, Brembo, etc.) after that 3 months ago a guy stopped, me stopping behind him, and than suddenly backing up and destroying the complete front of my bike!!!

BTW: Has anybody tested both the old golden Brembo's with 2 brake pistons on each side and the grey MkII Brembo's with 1 brake piston each side? If yes, could you remark any difference?

My left Rizoma (slightly different model) only loosened up once at the mirror itself after 5 thousand miles. I just retightened it, but will consider the Loctite.

Hello Raphi , It looks like a whole new bike! Did you say the aluminum gas tank was 1 gallon more capacity than the plastic tank ?
