I thought I'd give myself some "me" time, so I went ahead and mocked up a Triton from stuff I had around the shop after recently acquiring a "free" plunger frame.

ENGINE: '62 Triumph TR6SS 650
TRANNY: (unknown) Pre-Unit Triumph, possibly slickshift compatible
FRAME: '52 Norton ES2 plunger
FORKS & YOKES: BSA 650, frozen
TANK: 1974 Triumph Trident 750

Wheels are temporary Japanese units.

Not your typical Triton!

I'm going to chop the forks down a bit at a time 'till I arrive at the proper attitude. I have some spare bits of 6061 alloy from my unit Triton kit stock, so I'll fab up my own front mounts, the rear/tranny mounts just need a bit of modification.

Hi Paul, it looks good the way it is, but I do like rat bikes that have just been thrown together from bits and pieces from the bone yard, could be a fun bike to ride.

Could be fun to ride and go when it has no chain
Why would it need a CHAIN when it has no ignition, no carbs, no cables, no fuel lines, etc., etc., etc.?

It's just a mock-up, to get piles of parts out of the way, and put in a state that it can be rolled out of the way.

The ultimate Triton is a 16H engine in a Sprung Hub frame.
HEY!!!

Maybe I can scrounge up a sprung hub from my friend Don who had a stack of 'em a few years back. A sprung hub in a plunger frame would probably be pretty cushy...
