New Triton

Don it happens all the time people taking credit for other peoples hard work, I have done a few rebuilds over the last 42 years, some work I can't do but always give credit to others that have helped, its like when someone claims they have completely restored their bike or car to find out later they payed someone else to do the complete restore, I seen one of my rebuilds at the Laverter bike show in Brissy a few years ago that I did all the work and the bike hadn't been touched since my rebuild, but on the board it had restored by owner, the owner shit himself when he seen me checking his bike out, it didn't really worry me but I told him it would be good to have some credit for all my work I did.

This owner even emailed me some time ago after purchasing the bike from the 2nd owner, I guess he was a bit surprised when I recently emailed him
about "his" build featured in MCN, his reply was that MCN made the story up. maybe he thought I dont read that mag.

It's a bit lame to pass others work as your own, but bike mags are full of shit anyway. To commission a " custom " build is the trendy thing to do and visit the bike / tattoo / barber shop and pick up your internet order of t shirts. Sitting at the side of the road in the pishing rain fixing an electrical problem on a fifty year old bike just isn't cool! Freeze your bollocks off but not cool. So buy one built by someone who knows what they're doing , pass it off as your own work..... Job done.
