Looking to remove the standard clocks and replace with a combo device from Legendary. I realize I will have to change the fork nuts or use spacers or find a bracket that serves as the spacers. The issue is mounting it on the bike. I would like it centered. I have no fabrication skills or machinery. Any ideas? Can the handlebar mounts be used in some way?

Consider searching for some old gauge pods, possibly damaged, to cut and use for attachment of a flat plate that will accomodate your new clock. A chunk of flat plate welded to the pod base rings could be nicely polished. Any good welder would put it together for a few bucks

If you have absolutely no tools or skill, make a cardboard pattern of what you want. There are lots of folks around here who could do the work.

As I looked closer at the mounting bracket and compared it to where I want to mount it, I am going with the bracket sold on the same site. It has two mounting holes that will do no good, but I can just get the bottom of the bracket cut and drilled to fit into the top two handlebar mount screws. I will have to fit a couple grommets or spacers to fill the voids and eliminate rattling. Here is the page with the 4" Speedo/Tach unit and the bracket is below it.

Both my clocks work, or did until I disconnected them. The speedo to get rid of the nasty gear on the back wheel and the tach was leaking oil at the engine housing. I have been using a $15 Schwinn bicycle speedo with a magnetic pickup for a few years.

Now I have two options for the fork nuts. Replace them with CNW shorter ones($75) or get spacers to fill the void where the old cups attached. Any suggestions?

Now considering a solo seat....
