Check your tire pressure. You also have carbon fiber wheels will tend to feel lighter especially in front. Check the front fork preload , . How many rings showing ? Same in the back. I run 35 psi front , 40 psi rear.

I have kept the pressures at the recommended 34 and 38 psi. 35 and 40 sounds high - were you having trouble with the lower pressures? I never had a reason to check the pre-load before, but I will.

After 3 days of short rides on windy roads near my workplace I am still thinking something's wrong with the alignment or steering. If I lean over enough I feel every little bump in the road. It's as if the tire(s) have lumps along the edges. Very weird. I also had some wind today and felt every little gust as though it would knock me off my line of travel.

Unfortunately, my bike is stuck at my workplace all week so I won't get to do a string alignment until the weekend ... if it doesn't rain. :|

Took a half day off work to figure what was goin’ on with my 961 Sport. I studied a handful of YouTube videos very carefully to come up with the best wheel alignment technique. Tedious as it was I spent a solid hour using the string method to determine where the fault was. I had already figured out the chain adjusters where horribly inferior. Using a bit of my wife’s fishing line I found the rear wheel was as much as 2 1/2 cm out from the front wheel. No wonder I felt like I was riding a hinge these last few days. Once the correction was complete I took ‘er for a lengthy spin about town ... as much of the twisties as I could do in 30 minutes. The verdict after a good flogging - she’s back to the girl I knew and loved! Confidence inspiring on the corners. Light and nimble. Took the bumps like a Cadillac! I like my Norton again.

I liken the suspension more to a Mercedes than a Cadillac but either way, glad you get to pound on her the way she's meant to be pounded.
