More pics in the link. Along with some retarded comments.
You probably want to go into town, and find a up to date Jap Bike store,
With a full spares department, a clean workshop, and kean young mechanics.
And ask them if theres a Grumpy Old Bloke out in the Hills, who knows how to fix Real Motorcycles.

Looks nice. A few questions come to mind though:

When will they be available for purchase in this country?

Is that fuel tank plastic? Made by Acerbis, using the same plastic compound they use for Ducati and KTM? If so, expect trouble when they hit the streets and owners start putting pump gas in them.

Are those wheels chrome-plated steel (really heavy) or alloy? Tubeless or tube-type? I'd be expecting tubeless wheels and alloy rims at this price point.

How's the stock Euro 3 compliant fueling? Good, or herky-jerky like a stock Ducati?

Yeah I know, picky picky picky...

I'm sure all your questions will be answered when the bikes actually start shipping to this country...

I guess posters asking about delivery dates, are unaware that buyers in the UK have needed to take legal action to get money back, after waiting for up to 2 years for bikes, which in some cases had been paid for in full?

We just consider folks in the home country guinea pigs, Norton should have it all sorted out by the time they get here.

That bike just doesn't appeal to me. Looks too much like a Japanese bike.
I remember someone from the US was trying to make a go at the Norton. Does anyone have pics of that bike?
'73 850 COMMANDO
'74 850 COMMANDO
Restored the '74 and restoring the '73 this year.
I have 2 parts to buy. Now, if I can only find $5000 lying about.
I live in Woodland, Cal.

The last machine Kenny Dreer was working on was the 952 Commando and looks the same as the current 961 Commando. Maybe you refer to the VR880 before that. The VR880 (Vintage Rebuilds) was closer in appearance to the original Commando roadster.

Paul,

Maybe one of these is yours. Photo at Vintage Rebuilds in Oregon.

Actually, that's not the case. The 961 is Kenny's design as well. They made some minor changes that resulted in a slightly larger displacement and renaming of the bike. The 952 was the one seen by the most people, I think, but the bike was the 961 by the time they closed up shop.
