850 MKIII Corbin/tool tray puzzle

G Day all,

P'raps not the most scintillating topic for a post but I wonder if any 850 MKIII owners have fitted a Corbin seat and managed to retain the o/e tool tray?

I don't have the plastic tool tray but was thinking of getting one for my MKIII. But now I've got the Corbin, I don't know if the it will fit. Why? cos the mounting bracket for the Corbin sits right across where the tool tray goes- between the ends of the upper shock mounting bolts. Any photos or ingenious suggestions re tool roll locations in general v welcome!

Getting the right look for the Corbin means dispensing with the grab rail and a tool roll slung under the headlamp makes it look like a St Bernard, I reckon! So far my solution is a back pack but getting a tad fed up with that. Oh for the days when British bikes had proper tool boxes....

I like the idea of the tool tray as it means the tools roll isn't going to get slowly covered in oil, crammed in between battery and sidepanel. (I say slowly cos Nortons don't really leak oil and may be I should worry about tools going rusty as they are never used.....)

Happy Nortoning
