1975 Norton Electric satart

Very Nice Electric Start Roadster for sale. At age 76, I have decided to hang up my boots. Within the past year, I have replaced complete sprag assembly, rebuilt the 932s with new slides and all new jets. Starter upgraded with brand new made-in-USA high powered starter from MAPP Cycle. Old Britt master cylinder rebuild with 13mm bore. Valves adjusted and all fluids replaced. Corbin seat (only). I also have a bolt-on cafe fairing -black with gold pin-striping. Fenders are nicely painted black with gold trim. Also have stock fenders. Bike has electronic ignition (Boyer, I think). Rode 100 miles last week and experienced some hic-cupping which I believe to be traceable to the ignition. As I write this, I could not get the bike to fire this morning. I don't work on much these days, as I am a bit forgetful and befuddled. Would like to sell it like this. I am holding off on EBay listing but have planned to list it with a reserve of $7,000. If anybody is interested, please let me know. I will be glad to facilitate shipping if you make arrangements.

Actually, I think you should put a couple of hundred into getting it running right and then up your asking price
to $8500. It looks like a very nice bike and I'm supposing the odometer mileage is correct?
I'd be jumping on this one at this price if I was on the right coast.

J.C. Motors ships cross-country for $750 or less.

Re: 1975 Norton Electric start***SOLD!

Thanks, all. I have enjoyed my time and interactions on this forum. The Norton is sold. I considered the advice to get it running, but I promised my (long-suffering, always supportive) wife I would step away from two wheels. I found an EBay ad in which the owner sold a '75 Commando for $6,400 in just three days with 8 bids. It had no starter, hadn't run in 15 years and had no brakes or throttle assembly along with a dent in the tank. I put mine on Craigslist and sold it for $7,000 3 days. I tell you this just to reinforce the fact that the collectibility of these bikes is going through the roof. Good for hoarders, bad for sellers. Keep the shiny side up.
