For the price, you could swap out the seat, handlebars & footpegs, and have a nice standard rider. Selling off the fairing, seat, rearsets & clip-ons would net more than you spend on the standard bits, I suspect. About one weekend's work, maybe less than one Saturday if you focus, leaving Sunday for the test ride. Heck, Jag would probably do the swap for you!
I agree. Leaving it as a racer is limiting the market. Old guys with bad backs don't want to mess with a crouch rocket posture. + Paint the tank and side covers and it will sell for $8,000. Or keep it and ride it. You know it is well sorted. Buying to Flip is a dangerous game. Most folks put $10,000 into a bike and get back only $8,000 on the sale. What's in your wallet?
